Class taught by Jim King
Learn how to add the rich look of wood to your next project with false graining techniques in this folk art class taught by local fancy painter Jim King. Students will paint a small box with ball feet. Grain painting is a technique used since the eighteenth century to make woods such as maple, pine, or poplar look like expensive hardwoods. Patterns are applied to wood using foam brushes, corn cobs, and more.
