Vulcans will give the second concert on Saturday, June 24. They deliver pure and honest folk music through three-part harmony over shifting instrumental configurations. Vulcans seek to craft modern Americana tunes using three-part harmony as an instrument in itself, creating winding and bending melodies that sway from major, to minor, and back to major. Alex Brubaker will open. He combines traditional melodic guitar lines with rhythmic drive, using the guitar as a percussive instrument, and his own unique writing style.
Concerts are held rain or shine. In inclement weather, the concert will move into the implement shed on the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum grounds. In cases of severe weather, cancellations will be announced by 3 p.m. on the day of the concert.
Tickets are available on site and cost $8 per person, children under 12 are free; no advance registration is required. The 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum is a alcohol- and smoke-free environment.
